Re: West Jordan - There are lots and lots of places in Utah with Biblical names, particularly in southern Utah (Zion National Park, Angel's Landing, Virgin River, etc).

But the Dixie National Forest - against all reason - is located in Utah instead of the Deep South. Go figure.

So much misdirection, lots just plain deeelish in that I could never be that clever to create it but happy someone can, some of it humbling in that I should have realized the slight of word. All of it good.

Well, after having VAJAZZLE as an answer on Monday, and in a clue on Wednesday, I was expecting an entire VAJAZZLE theme today.

I guess this is as close as he could get.

Crazily open middle! >open mouth<. Yeah, this puzzle just rocked. Don't know the constructor but I see he has at least a few NYTs to his (or possibly her) name.

There were 2 clue I just loved LOVED: THUNK (entry makes me think of the Femmes too...) and REBS

Worst case of being completely lost... Had no idea where West Jordan is... Am I the only one who was racking his brain for Middle Eastern Lakes!!

In comparison: Had one of those "I am hardcore" moments getting WRENS off the W, but there were plenty of other moments to cut me down to size!

Not sure I buy 43A though... Not everything is of this world. Or am I missing something. Also really dislike clue for SUR...

Other note: Do you call them safari jackets; over hear they're safari suits... At least if we're on the same page that is...

"Live free or Die" is the New Hampshire motto. There is no truth to the rumor that Wisconsin, liking the spirit of that motto, chose "Eat cheese or die" as its own.
