I didn’t know the pronunciation of Theron, either.

Is this puzzle easy? Because I did the whole thing while carrying on a phone conversation with my mom, and I wasn’t just going “Uh-huh…uh-huh…yeah”

I guess its all in the sounds. I thought it was pronounced THARE-ON and was trying to parse The ron room.

And is one silent T difference enough for a pun?

“throne room.” that’s actually reasonably close to how she says her name.

BASSETT HOUND is indeed a pun. the dog is basset hound (one t).
