Free Puzzle Contest – “My Big Fat Fun Wedding”

To celebrate my upcoming wedding this summer, I am pleased to offer a new puzzle contest, “My Big Fat Fun Wedding.” The puzzles are pitched at an easy-medium difficulty level, but I hope beginners and experts alike enjoy them.

Solvers who submit the correct final answer by the end of the day on May 31, 2012, will be entered into a drawing for a grand prize: free airfare to my wedding in Atlanta (or, of greater interest I’m sure, the equivalent in cash)! There is no cost to enter, but you can only enter once. Complete details and all of the puzzles are available in a pdf document that you can download here.

Good luck, and happy solving!

    Congratulations, Sam!

But I’m getting a “This document could not be printed” message, and there’s no image with the rose garden text. And the rest of the pages seem to be missing altogether. Hmm…

  2. Erik says:

I will attend the hell out of your wedding if I win.

  3. Jeffrey says:

Darn that fine print! That’s a $700 ticket from Victoria. Stil, I might show up if I win. But do I sit on the crossworders side or the tax guys side?

  4. Sam Donaldson says:

Your choice, Jeffrey. There will likely be plenty of seats with either group!

  5. Tuning Spork says:

Are we allowed to ask who some of celebrities are? I can positively identify 15 of them. 3 others are iffy. But, the remaining 7, I have no clue about.

  6. Sam Donaldson says:

Sorry, Tuning Spork. No hints allowed until after the contest ends. I will be sure to post a link to the correct answers after the deadline passes.

  7. Bananarchy says:

@Tuning Spork: if you’re not opposed to “cheating” use http://www.tineye.com. It’s a reverse image search, meaning that you can upload an image and it will find sites that contain it. It doesn’t always work, especially if the image has been altered (compressed, cropped, etc), but it’s worth a try.

  8. jefe says:

For Not-So-Secret Garden, should the 2nd clue for row B be “Celestial Seasonings products”, instead of “… Seasons …”?

Having trouble finding common bonds among the celebrities, but I’m really more concerned that you’re expecting a number of dead ones at your wedding.

  9. Sam Donaldson says:

@jefe: Oops, you’re right–it should be “Celestial Seasonings.” Thanks for pointing that out!

And hey, dead celebrities can be the life of the party.
