Inspired by Patrick Berry Week, I finally created a "meta puzzle". Just one puzzle, so it's more in the Matt Gaffney tradition. I expect it wont be too tough to solve for regular Weekly Crossword Contest solvers.
No prize, though. Just for fun.
I put the two questions to be answered for the final "mini-meta answer" in the notepad, should you care to glance at it. But, truth be told, I'm sure the regular Gaffney solvers will have no trouble seeing where it's going and/or prefer the extra challenge.
